MIT gets a gold medal and other Hacks

There was a "hack" at MIT today. I snapped a photo with my camera phone. Someone hung a Torino 2006 gold medal from the top of the big dome. Hacks are humorous tricks that MIT students set up on campus from time to time. The last one I saw was a Mario Brother hanging from the top of Lobby 7 in December 2005:

More hacks can be found at hacks.mit.edu. Perhaps the most famous hack was when they put a replica of the Wright Brother's Flyer on the top of the dome in 2003 to celebrate 100 years of flight.

Fenway Park Improvements via Helicopter

On Wednesday, February 22, my friend Bruce Cameron took a flight in a helicopter over Boston. He snapped a number of good pictures with his high-end digital camera. My favorite is this one of Fenway Park:
Click on the photo above to see it in high resolution! The new infield upper decks are visible to the left and right of the infield. There are some new upper deck seats just behind home plate. The glass on the 409 club has moved much father back, so there is more open air seating.

Long Time, No Posts...

It's been a while since I last posted here. I'm sitting at home with my cat Literaly. She has decided that my desk chair is her favorite spot. Everytime I get up for more than 5 seconds, she takes it. Very frustrating! So, I've decided to split the space with her. She gets the back half, and I get the front. I can still get my work done, and she can smell my booty. A fair trade.

This seemed to work for a while, but just now she decided to put all four feet up against the back of the chair and then push as hard as she could. She was trying to kick ME off the chair! Too bad that she's a 9 pound weakling! I WIN!

oh wait... I gave half my chair to a cat...
