Time to Waste
I finished my exam at 3:20am this morning. M was nice enough to drive me to school at 8:30am to turn it in, then turn back around and drive me all the way back to my bed. Becuase I worked my ass off for the last 72 hours, I am now awake and fully committed to wasting time.
Just because Bellasaurus decided to make subtly make fun of my work/time plot, I'll post it one more time...
Finished with 8% of time to spare!
Since I can't possibly avoid seeming nerdy now, I might as well tell exactly what I've been up to. Since I want to maximally waste my time, I first read some news, which lead to do some research about who is Zalmay Khalilzad, a possible candidate to replace UN ambassador John "jacka#$" Bolton. This lead me to wikipedia, which eventually lead me to the Wikipedia page of the day, "Weird Al" Yankovic.
I was a huge fan of Weird Al when I was a kid. I learned some new things today. Weird Al's parents choose accordion lessons for him over guitar lessons as a kid simply because "they figured there should be at least one more accordion-playing Yankovic in the world," referring to Frankie Yankovic, to whom he has no relation! Funny how these little things that occur during your childhood can change your whole life. Weird Al became one of the very few rock and roll accordion stars.
The only reason I'm posting this is that while reading about Weird Al, I came across his new video "White & Nerdy". It's really good. You'll noticed that he has changed his look. He doesn't have glasses or a mustache anymore. (except when he wears nerdy glasses in the video). This is one the best Weird Al videos I've ever seen. There's even a wikipedia page about it, where they identify all of the cameo appearances (Donny Osmond!) and make criticize the fact that they using the the wrong symbol for Plank's constant in the background (it should be a h with a line though it, not just a regular h! duh!)
If I find more good ways to waste time, I'll let you know. Perhaps this video about the joys of scrabble by zefrank will interest you?
